Exploring the Epidemiology and Survival Trends in Pediatric Major Salivary Gland Malignancies: Insights from the National Cancer Database

Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological, therapeutic, and survival data on pediatric major salivary gland cancers. Materials Methods: National Cancer Database (NCDB) query from 2004 to 2018. Results: In total, 967 cases of individuals under age 21 were identified. Most cancers affected parotid (86%). Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (41.3%) acinic cell adenocarcinoma (33.6%) most common. Tumors occurred more often 11 21, females affected. Histology varied by age, gender, race. 0–5 group, mucoepidermoid myoepithelial carcinoma/sarcoma/rhabdomyosarcoma common pathologies. patients over 5 years old, was frequent tumor in boys, while girls. African American had a higher incidence carcinoma, White group tumors. Low-grade tumors commonly diagnosed at stage I, but high frequency IV The overall 5-year rate 94.9%, with 90% for 96% 11–15 group.
